Goodbye July, Hello August! August is like the Sunday of Summer. We know the summer is coming to an end shortly but we still have to make the most of it! 

Competition Crazy at Style 

This past month we have been competition mad! We have given away not one, but TWO style vouchers for £100! That might be it for the competitions for a little while... 

For the first competition we collaborated with Emma (@enjoyeverthingemma on Instagram) where one lucky follower received a whopping £100 voucher and all they had to do was like, share and tag a friend! It is that simple! Our instagram is a great platform for competitions and sneak peeks. 

Our second competition of the month was a collaboration with Gigi (@serenitytenx on Instagram). Gigi called into our Magherafelt store and tried on a few of the outfits we have available in store! We loved having Gigi in store with us and we loved hearing her thoughts on some of her favourite items! Her favourite brand was of course the YEW collection! Gigi also gave one of her lucky followers a £100 voucher! 

Autumn Winter 2024 Buying 

With so many competitions on the go we have to think about getting more stock to sell! So, another buying trip (or two) was arranged! First off Alice and Kate took a trip down to Dublin for a couple of days to get chatting to some of our favourite brands! Harrogate was next on the list and this year we thought that three generations of McDonnell Ladies should go. Grace tagged along for her first buying trip and he LOVED every second! She was given the title of professional shopper. 

Marathon Training  

Our wonderful HR manager suggested we do a relay in the Belfast Marathon and obviously we all thought he was joking at first but then we slowly realised he was deadly serious! So, we have been training tirelessly. But before the training started we needed a couple of things! First up a team. There are plenty of us in the office and in the shops that are really looking forward to getting out there and keeping fit so getting a team together wasn't too difficult! Next up we needed the gear. New trainers, leggings and tops. Luckily we had plenty of the Lorna Jane gym gear available to choose from! We do intend to get fancy Style gym tops for the run itself! We then decided to beg Daniel for a new water cooler! Hydration is key with marathon training. 

Of course we will be running for a charity and raising as much money as we can for it! We will be getting sponsor sheets printed and we might even do a raffle! Now the run isn't until May next year but we have to start somewhere! Make sure to keep an eye out on out stories for all our training updates!
