Is September the New January?
I don't think I'm alone in thinking that September is a Fresh Start. Is the perfect time for new starts - children back at school, grandchildren starting nursery. It's a time when we must get into a new routine. Trying to eat better and exercise more. In January we make a big fuss about new starts, but I think in September it happens more naturally, and we tend to keep it.
September is also the start of a new fashion season. it's time to say goodbye to the summer dresses and sandals, and swap them out for winter boots, cosy knits and oversized coats. The autumn is here, and we want our wardrobe to work with us. Layer up as the weather changes and having lots of options in all the autumn colours.
But before we go on that shopping spree to get all the styles for AW2021, we need to organise our wardrobe. Clear everything out of your wardrobe and try it on. If you don't like it now, you're not going to like it next summer. Bring your unwanted items to a local charity shop or give items to a friend or family member. Summer styles that you are planning on wearing next year pack them up and store away. Decluttering your wardrobe will help remove stress from your head. If you have a steam-lined wardrobe this will make your life easier, knowing what clothes you’ll want to wear each day.
September gives us new opportunities and gives us a chance to set new goals and get reorganised. There is definitely no need to wait to January to have a "New Year, New Me' attitude.
