Does clothes size really matter?

This is a question we get asked all the time, DOES CLOTHES SIZE MATTER????

The simple answer is NO.

A customer can easily be put off an outfit if the size she is trying on doesn’t fit and she has to go up a size. The customer panics, can’t understand how she has gone up a size and under no circumstances can that be acceptable.. The problem is not with the customer but with every clothing company out there.

Clothes are being made all over the world and every country sizes differently. So it’s important not to get too fixated on the size as indicated on the label of the garment. Your size could increase from a size 8 to a 14, depending on the make and the item.

It’s so important to try before we buy! Something that looks amazing may do nothing for your shape while something that looks less appealing on the hanger could surprise you.

It’s important that we dress for our shape and choose the colours that compliment our skin tone and hair colour. Fashion trends are passing fads and while it is important to embrace fashion and experiment with trends, it is more important to dress for your shape and size.

There are so many different fashion retailers in this country but often sound, impartial guidance is lacking and we wander around the shop unsure what might suit us. The personalised, friendly service available at Style is what sets us apart. In a warm and intimate environment our sales assistants are eager to help you make the right choice in terms of size and shape.

If the outfit suits your body shape and you know that you look well and feel well in it, then you can disregard size.
