We thought we’d seen the last of the double denim trend when Irish pop band, B*Witched jigged their way out of the charts way back in the 90s.

But as they would say, ‘C’est la vie!’ Trends have an awful habit of returning; like it or not. Denim has never gone away and its versatility and comfort is probably why it reigns supreme in the style stakes. Last week, one story that hit the headlines was that of Nicola Thorp who was sent home from her temporary receptionist job at PwC because she wasn’t wearing high heels. Enforcing high heels (especially given all the adorable flats these days!) in the office is the height of workplace sexism and yet there is no denying that we women have always fought a hardy battle when it comes to clothing.
